Adolphe Boucard (1839-1905)

A French ornithologist, Boucard spent more than 40 years of his life hunting birds, not only studying them but also selling them. He captured a large number of birds in Central and South America, including many hummingbirds, and wrote several articles on hummingbirds. For several months, he published a magazine entitled The Humming Bird, a monthly scientific, artistic and industrial review.
